Well here we are already in September. This will be the final update to this website as it continues while under construction. Since the month of May it has been a slow work in progress and we appreciate your patience. We are happy to finally announce that on Wednesday, September 22nd will be the unveiling of the New VinceDaniels.com in time to commemorate the 10-year anniversary of Vince on the radio. Between now and then we hope that you'll keep us bookmarked for weekly show updates.

About my show … In an age where we are offered every imaginable device to communicate instantly, it seems like the things we communicate lack the intimacy of an innocent time that many feel have left us forever. Why I chose radio years ago is that I believe radio will always be an intimate medium.
I always wanted to create a show where I'm able to pick a time slot, and then never change it. That way my show can always be like a home to listeners, in the same way that families used to gather around the T.V. on a certain night of the week to watch their favorite programs.
It won't be the same show every week. There will be a variety of topics. My core beliefs and my politics are conservative in nature. You will find me however to be open and inclusive to all points of view, but all of it will point back to the innocence I feel we've lost.
It's a show that can get heated. It's a show that is also light-hearted. We lead in with music memories. We test your knowledge of music and television with occasional trivia contests. We focus on the news of the day and go back to past headlines that other media wished you would forget about.
With the help of Paul Andrews, Crista Curtis, Jay Boatman and "Newsman Nick" Anthony (and many times just me for the entire show), we offer a voice to those that feel they have none. America once was a great nation, back when it had higher moral and ethical standards. Consider my show your gathering place to take back this country.

THIS SATURDAY, SEPT. 4TH
10:00 AM - 1:00 PM (P.D.T.)
1:00 PM - 4:00 PM (E.D.T.)
This week in music, it's 1961 as
Charles 'Keep-A-Knockin' Connor visits;
Publicist Michael Levine on
the Longest War in History;
An hour with the Psychics
Hour 1:
Vince Daniels hopes you enjoy your Labor Day. Paul "Mr. Television" Andrews (pictured above-left) joins Vinnie for a holiday weekend show that has something different for everyone in each segment of each hour. From the outset, Paul returns with his signature T.V. trivia contest question. This time it's worth a $25 Gas Card. Be ready to call in with the correct answer. It's a toll-free phone call: 1-888-909-1050. He promises to make it an easy question.
At around 10:35am (PST), longtime celebrity publicist, Michael Levine (above-right) joins the show. He is the Founder and President of LCO – Levine Communications Offices in Los Angeles and is regarded by the national media as one of this country's most prominent media experts. He is the author of 19 books including the best-selling P.R. book of all time, "Guerilla P.R." His most recent book is "Broken Windows, Broken Glass."
Levine has written for The New York Times, Los Angeles Business Journal, L.A. Times, The Wall Street Journal, Variety, U.S.A. Today and The Hollywood Reporter, among others.
In a recent article he wrote, "June 7th, 2010 marked a significant military milestone. It was the day that the Afghanistan War – which began in October 2001 – surpassed the Vietnam War. The Afghanistan War has now become the longest conflict in United States history and yet with that brutal fact, only 2.8% of the newshole was devoted to this story in 2010."
On the heels of President Obama's speech this week regarding the close of the Iraq War, Michael will put this other war and all of its meaning and significance, into focus.
Hour 2:
Jacki Mari (above) is a psychic and is the author of "NumAstrology: Your Secret Self Revealed." At 11:06am along with her husband, pychic Alyn Richard, they'll spend a full hour delving into the spirit realm. "It's really very simple," says Jacki. "I don't need the year that you were born, just the month and the date. From there, you'll discover the software that you were born with, that nobody told you about." She'll be happy to do a reading of anyone that wants to call in.
Together, Alyn and Jacki teach that we were not only born with a sixth sense, but a seventh and eight sense as well. The topic of Dream Analysis will also be explored. Mari is sometimes referred to as "Sherlock Jacki," as law enforcement might call upon her for psychic investigation work. In medical circles, she is called a 'medical intuitive.' Hour 3:
For Vince and Paul, it will be music and inspiring conversation during this entire hour beginning at approx 12:06pm when drummer, public speaker and author, Charles Connor (seen above-left) guests by phone.
Known as 'Keep A Knockin Connor,' Charles is the original drummer for Little Richard. His influence on so many rock notables, his unique storytelling ability and wisdom are obvious to anyone that has heard him speak.
He'll be on to talk about his book, "Don't Give Up Your Dreams: You Can Be A Winner Too," which can be purchased by going here. The book features photos of Charles throughout his life, as well as ones of him with such music legends as: Little Richard, John Fogerty, Ringo Starr, Ruth Brown, Hank Ballard, Ray Manzarek, Levon Helm, Clarence "Frogman" Henry and the 'Godfather of Soul,' James Brown.
It was James Brown who said of Connor, "he was the first to put the funk into the rhythm." As one of history's few successful left-handed drummers, Charles Connor created the "Choo Choo Train" drumming style, which consists of 8 notes. It's been used by nearly all subsequent Rock 'n' Roll drummers, whether they know it or not. His drumsticks are on display at Cleveland's Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame.
In addition to Little Richard, Connor has also worked with other Hall of Fame inductees like The Original Coasters, Sam Cooke and Jackie Wilson.
Throughout the 3 hours today, Vinnie carries forward with his celebration of "55 Years of Rock & Roll's Number 1's." All music played at the top of each new hour plus in and out of breaks will be from 1961.

This week University/Redlands
football preempting Vince on KCAA;
The Big 810 AM gets 3
classic hours they've never heard!
On KCAA:
"The Vince Daniels Show" is being preempted locally by Vince's flagship station today in order to broadcast a live University of Redlands Football game as the UR Bulldogs travel to take on East Texas Baptist University. Kickoff begins at 9am (PDT) and will run probably 90 minutes to 2 hours into Vince Daniels' regular show time.
Yet to be determined is whether "Newsman Nick" Anthony will guest host the balance of the time after the game (Nick would only be heard locally) , or whether K.C.A.A. will fill the time with a special show. You'll have to tune in and find out. What is determined is that there will be no further preemptions for Football for the remainder of the season.
On The Big 810:
Vince will indeed be broadcasting on 'Orlando's Real Talk' for the full three hours from 1:00pm until 4:00pm (EDT). It's not a live show, but it is original. In fact, this is two great shows in one that have never been heard in Florida on The Big 810 AM, so get ready!
For the 1:00-3:00pm portion, you'll hear an edited version of two hours that originally ran with no commercial breaks when it aired earlier this Summer on June 19th, a month before The Vince Daniels Show debuted in Orlando.
On that memorable June day, Vince Daniels and Paul Andrews spent two hours talking with T.V. Western icon, James Drury (pictured above-left), who from 1962-1971 was "The Virginian" every Wednesday night for 9 seasons on NBC-TV. It was televisions first ever 90-minute western. This summer, 48 years after coming to T.V., the first and second seasons of "The Virginian" are now available for sale on DVD by Timeless Media. To order them, go to the right-hand side bar where you'll see a younger Jim Drury.
Many e-mails and phone calls came in during these ambitious two hours spent with the now 76 year old actor. At first, Drury objected to the idea of doing such a long appearance. Vinnie got him to agree but was told that this would be his last 2-hour interview. At the end of the show he remarked to Daniels and Andrews, "this was so much fun that these past couple hours flew by like it was only 20 minutes."
In the final hour starting at 3:06pm (EDT) is a show that Vince did with Nick Anthony on June 26th. It was also originally a two-hour segment. The topic was Abortion and in-studio were young High School and College age students who represented the organization "Survivors of the Abortion Holocaust." (See photo from that day, above-right).
"In January of 1973 an evil, previously unimaginable, was unleashed on America's children. Abortion was legalized, up to the day of birth. It has robbed us of 1/3 of our generation. We, the Survivors of the Abortion Holocaust are rising up to rescue the next generation."
Each summer, Survivors L.A. holds an intense 12 day Pro-Life Training Camp, preparing young people for what they call "the worst evil of our time." Vince was able to catch up with the kids over the weekend of their 13th annual camp. Accompanying them were the Rev. Patrick J. Mahoney of the Christian Defense Coalition, and Brandi Swindell, co-founder and director of the Boise, Idaho-based 'Generation Life,' an international pro-life organization formed to mobilize the post-Roe v. Wade generation.
An issue that hit close to home for Nick Anthony, he took the Pro-Choice side but found himself outnumbered in what was a very heated exchange.
The Survivors L.A. have a Facebook page that they frequently update. You can check it out by clicking here.

Plus more Oldies & Classic Cars
as Vince and crew broadcast
from the Route 66 Car Show!
Vinnie is back live today and will pick up where he left off in his celebration of Rock and Roll's 55th birthday. This week, musically he's in the year 1962 at the top of each hour of the show in addition to the music you hear in and out of breaks. In fact, he'll be in a place where the only thing welcomed are oldies but goodies.
Today, Vince Daniels is on location across the street from his flagship station in downtown San Bernardino as he broadcasts from the 21st annual Stater Brothers "Route 66 Rendezvous," which every September puts on a vast display of classic automobiles. This old historic highway will be the focus today, and while 66 does not run through Florida, today's show will take listeners of The Big 810 AM cruisin' from one sunshine state, to another.
Plenty of trivia contests are on hand along with a chance for local K.C.A.A. listeners to meet Vinnie and his crew. Tentatively scheduled to appear are Jay Boatman, Crista Curtis, Paul Andrews and a guest from the 9/4 show, Charles Connor, drummer for Little Richard. Interviews with event organizers are on tap along with some talk about the newer cars set to hit showroom floors soon, including the new electric Chevrolet Volt.
This 3-day event begins Thursday afternoon, September 16th and ends on September 19th. If you'd like to attend or would like more info, simply click here.

Vince Daniels:
The First 10 Years
To so many who know his as Jim, to this day he is asked, "how did you come up with the name Vince Daniels?"
It happened during Friday Night Lights. On September 8, 2000 Jim, desperate for money, worked for $6 an hour as a board operator at the Cerritos Community College radio station. It was his first night. He boss assured him that he wouldn't have to go on the air. The play-by-play announcer that was broadcasting the high school football game, had other ideas.
For about 17 years up to this point, Jim was a music personality, both at that station and professionally. He had been away from radio for 3 years during a time in his life when he was isolating from others. Suicidal ideations were part of this period. The last thing he wanted to do was crack open a mike again. So low was his self-esteem that he didn't want anybody knowing who he was. He remembered the play-by-play guy saying to him, "you've got 25 seconds, you better think of a name because I'm throwing it to you to give the stats."
He thought of a name that a sports announcer might use, and so between a commercial and station identification, Vince Daniels was born. He only talked twice on the air that night, but as each Friday passed, he dreamed of coming back in the following semester with his own all-purpose news-talk show. The theme and purpose of his new show would be based on the feelings he felt after he was thrown back on the mike. In January 2001, "The Many Moods of Vince Daniels" debuted. It was a show that gave voice to those that thought they had none.
For three hours on September 25th, Vince, hosting alone, will share his story from the start of this special called, "Vince Daniels: The First 10 Years." It will be a very clip-intensive show as clips of seminal moments over the past decade will be played. It will be a mixture of the light-hearted, the confrontational as well as dramatic and bittersweet moments which will include notable guest stars and stories from not so known guests that somehow brought tears, laughter or shock.
"For our relatively new audience in central Florida," says Vince, "this special show will get them up to speed and help them perhaps to understand the tenor and tone of different shows that I do. There's so much to pack in. I hope I can get to most of it." He also plans to share a personal story about what brought him to Orlando and The Big 810 AM.
